Gotham

So on the same night that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. premiered in the US Fox has announced that they have picked up a new drama series from Warner Bros. Gotham is ment to be set before Batman has come to light within the city and will focus on the GCPD and commissioner Gordon. Im guessing the comic book basis for this will be Gotham Central the series that focused on the police officers that worked in Gotham.

I havent read Gotham Central just yet but by reputation it is meant to be a great read and this may spur me into finally giving it a read. Making this announcement on the same night as the SHIELD premier does feel a little underhanded from DC and Fox so lets hope they’re not just trying to jump on the bandwagon and that the show turns out to be good.

Marvels Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Australian premiere

Marvels Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will get a movie length premiere in Australia next Wednesday at 7:30 we are getting two episodes at once so that we will then be caught up with the US the week after. I really cant wait I hope the show is great and I think it will be.

Up in my tabs I have created a tab dedicated to an assignment that I undertook this semester for entertainment marketing it is an industry anaysis of the Televsion industry through the current trends present in the market place, as well as an audience analysis through the trends that effect the television audience currently in the industry.  I have posted this to demonstrate my knowledge of the current Television industry to future employers.

The Emmys 2013

So I wasnt able to watch the emmys but USA Today have put up a list of the winners and nominees and im glad to see Julia Louis-Dreyfus won for best Actress in a comedy and Anna Gun won best supporting actress in a drama as well as Breaking Bad taking out best Drama.

Ben Affleck talks Family and Batman

Ben Affleck has spoken about the casting call for Batman vs Superman on Late NIght with Jimmy Fallon as well as how Warner Bro’s preped him for the reaction to the casting and a few sly comments about material he was shown presumably pertaining to plot and costumes etc. Im excited to see what Affleck does with the character itll be hard to beat Christian Bale but this will be a slightly different beast and I hope it goes well.

Jurrassic Park 4 Gets a Name

yeah okay I know that wasnt funny in the slightest, anyways. Jurassic Park 4 is now called Jurassic World and has been slated in for a release date of June 12th 2015. Is anyone suprised by that date? there are so many massive tentpole movies coming out in 2015 that really its either going to become one massive shit storm or one damn good year im hoping for the good of course. I love the Jurassic Park films so im keen to see how this one is going to come out.

All-New Marvel NOW

After the successful implementation of Marvel NOW last year Marvel are now going to give us a Marvel NOW 2….kinda, its called All-New Marvel NOW and was announced by USA Today and will kick off December 24 with Avengers issue 24.NOW a new take on the point one initiative, this issue will act as a jumping on point for a new avengers story. Continuing his writing duties will be  Jonathan Hickman and on art will be Esad Ribic who is great if you want to see some of his work check out the first 10 issues of ‘Thor God of Thunder’. along with the Point Now issues All-New Marvel NOW will bring fourth new ongoing books such as All New Invaders (pictured above) and the new Inhuman book that Matt Fraction is writting. USA today also says to expect Black widow and Silver Surfer to get their own books as well. Something that I think is a brilliant idea is that some of the NOW issues will contain digital codes for the first collection of issues so fans can be brought upto speed, its a little vague but the way i understand it is that the digital codes will be in issues of the Point NOW books and will be for previous issues of that ongoing series.
